The Worst Universities in Michigan in 2017

9. Northwestern Michigan College

Location: Traverse City, Michigan

Number of Students: 1,673

Acceptance Rate: 100%

Somehow they got enough money to build this fancy main building. While $8,000 is fairly cheap for a university, a degree from Northwestern Michigan College is hardly worth the cost. The professors seem indifferent to whether their students succeed or not and an education from here doesn’t carry much value in the job market. Nearly 85% of students decide to leave this Michigan school and continue their undergraduate education somewhere else and we’re not sure if it’s because of the prehistorically-slow internet or the hassle of finding a parking space on a daily basis.
