14. Huston-Tillotson University

Location: Austin, Texas

Number of Students: 923

Acceptance Rate: 36%

This image of their main building looks straight-up like a prison. For real?? One of the biggest complaints of students at Huston-Tillotson University is that it feels just like an extension of high school. The education is basic and doesn’t challenge students, leaving them unprepared for the job market after graduation. On campus, cars are often broken into and security leaves a lot to be desired. The rude staff in the financial aid office, along with the difficulty of actually obtaining financial aid, likely plays a large role in the fact that only 22% of students stay until graduation. You might have better luck at an actual prison getting an education.
